Hello lovelies!
I know I've been lacking in updates!
Has been busy with my blog shop, new orders and stuff.
Alot has happened in a short time.
My maid went home cos her 2 year contract was up.
I was really quite sad about it because she has been a companion, a helper and friend to me.
I wish her all the best of course. Hopefully, she will find a job that she like better. :)
It has been a week since she left and I've been doing most of the chores till my hands started peeling! T.T

I also brought my pup to the vet for his dental!
That poor boy. The nurses and me had to muzzle him and blindfold him for sedation. I can tell that he was extremely terrified though he was aggressive. We had to put him on drip(becos he has a liver problem) and the IV catheter just couldn't work. So in the end, we poked him 3 times and now his arm has a bruise! My poor baby...
I'm wondering if you guys like to see some pics of 'Behind the scenes'. lol.
Because I used to work there as a fellow nurse, thus I'm allowed to be inside the whole time.
Of course I won't give up a good chance for snapping!
Knocked-Out. The vet working on his teeth.
Flipping him over. Spot the 2 blue bandages - the wounds!
Final polishing for his pearly whites! :D
~He was so groggy after that and started banging into tables and doors. He kept choking on his saliva and his eyes were both off center. It was quite amusing seeing him like that. It's as though he was drunk! But at the same time, heart wrenching!
All is well now. He's fully awake and eating perfectly fine. :)
***HAIR CARE PART 2!
I'm no guru if haircare but I am quite anal about my hair so here are some tips that I picked up from reading and personal experience for healthy hair and I hope this helps anyone! :)
The Impact of Diet
As the saying goes, 'We are what we eat'.
A healthy diet plays a important role for our general well being and also, hair health.
Protein is vital for building hair. Malnutrition or a lack of protein in your diet can lead to hairloss!
It is also important to eat enough sources of Vitamin C & B.
~ Vit C cannot be directly linked to healthy hair but it does help with absorption of iron. (Because Iron deficiency & Anaemic leads to hair loss!)
Good sources: Fresh fruits, Vegetables
~Vit B: Biotin present in Vitamin B is important to keep hair follicles in good health.
Good sources of vitamin B: Oily fish, peas, milk, wholegrain cereals
Zinc deficiency is also known to lead to hair loss so remember to have enough zinc intake in your diet!
Good sources of zinc: Shellfish, redmeat
There are also supplements that improves your hair condition in the long run.
: Essential fatty acids (From Oily fish, nuts)
: Evening primose oil
And also, hydrating your hair as you would with your skin and do it inside out!
You will definitely reap the benefits.
Growing hair receives it's nourishment by means of the bloodstream so start taking what's needed! :D
Limit the use of heat
Any thing that has to do with heat causes damage to our hair so keep them far away!
You may want to save the curling and straightening for a special occasion instead.
And always use a hair protectant!
I remember how I used to iron my hair every single morning before school/work.
I loved the idea of having good hair day every day!
Until one day, I saw how brittle and dry my hair were. It was like hay! O.o
But I couldn't stand having frizz and unruly, unmanagable hair.
So I went for 'rebonding' aka chemical straightening that would last me a good 1.5 years.
That was my way on cutting down on heat damage to my hair.
With daily conditioning, my hair texture got better and its hassle free now.
So I'm loving it! lol.
And also, try to let your hair air dry after showering instead of blow drying it.
If you must, set your blow dryer to a low setting.
If you're using a high setting, keep the dryer at least 30 cm away from your hair to minimize damage. :)
Less is MORE
Brushing and touching your hair makes your hair greasier in a shorter time.
Doing so, you are spreading the sebum around your scalp which will lead to cloggage and eventually hair loss.
Suggestion: You may want to set your hair with a hair spray to keep your hair away from your face. In this way, you can cut down on the number of times to touch your hair!
I'm not a big fan of hair sprays. That's how I keep my hair away from my face. Clips!
Always remember to use a wide toothed brush to comb wet hair.
After showering, I like to comb only the upper half of my hair and leave the rest till its dryer.
I feel that it minimizes hair breakages for long hair.
Chemicals are the killers!
Chemicals used in solutions to straighten, perm or colour hair are some of the biggest culprits when it comes to hair damage.
It is advised to give a minimum 6 months' grace for straightening and 3 months for dye-ing.
Last tip of this uber long post: Do not do tight pony tails as it damages your hair cuticles and scalp which might lead to hair loss!
I hope the tips helped in any way possible!
Here's me wishing all you girls a healthy head of hair! :D
Ahhhhh~ I can't believe this post took me 1.5 hours!
See ya guys in a bit!
Loves,
Ling
P.S: I had a haircut and trimmed my bangs!! But I will leave it for another post!

O my... so many steps, and so many things I totally shouldn't be doing, whaahaha! You have such shiny hair!! Poor doggie!
Awww poor doggie! :( I know he's okay but the pictures doesn't make it look that way. :P
Fuz: Yep yep! You reap what you sow! :) It's all worth it at the end of the day!
Alyssa: Yeah, it was heart wrenching seeing him on that surgery table like that. But now, he has clean, pearly whites! No more bad breath! :D
How much does it cost to get a dog's teeth cleaned? My vet told me to just brush my dog's teeth everyday because teeth cleaning is very expensive, but I never knew how expensive.
Last year I completely stopped using a blow dryer as well as brushing my hair with a comb, and my hair is so much healthier now. It's surprising that I never get knots and tangles now, because in the past when I used to brush my hair, I would get so many! I also have vitamin B pills, but I always forget to take them so I have never seen a difference. They taste so bad anyway! Great advice!
